generative AI use study

Study Name: Use and perceptions of generative AI in higher education.
IRB study #: 24-0935

UNC researchers are investigating how and why generative AI tools are used (and not used) in work- and learning-related activities in higher education settings. We are investigating the use, non-use, experiences, and perceptions of gen(erative) AI tools, including Copilot for Microsoft 365. You do not have to have ever used a gen(erative) AI tool to participate.

The research study consists of a series of three online questionnaires (10- to 15-minutes each) over a 4- to 6-month period. There is also an opportunity to opt-in to an interview study consisting of two online interviews (45- to 60-minutes each) to be conducted over Zoom a 4- to 6-month time period.

Please contact the research team (PI: Anita Crescenzi) at info-study@unc.edu if you have any questions.
